Join us for a program and luncheon for the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC)’s Day of Service with Claire Crone of Sophia’s Kitchen.
Claire Crone began working at the grade school kitchen when her children were young. When they graduated, she looked for a nice, quiet secretary job, and was hired at Sacred Heart Church. A year later, the priest running the Sandwich Program retired, and she was asked to step in as they moved the program to its current location and renamed it Sophia's Kitchen, in memory of a little girl who passed away. Claire has been the director since 2010. When she is not telling people to wash their hands, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 45 years, her 2 grandsons and dog.
We are also collecting donations for Sophia’s Kitchen. Click here to view the needed items. If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate, click here.
